My supplemental information came from the Roark/Moulder family Bible which was stolen by the stepdaughters when my grandmother died. They had no use for it. My grandmother was a daughter of Amanda Melvina Moulder and Samuel Thomas Roark. I'm well aware of all the family members you stated and the censuses they are missing from. I'm in possession of an original copy of the well known photo of Samuel Houston and Mariah's partial family. I inherited it from my grandmother.

In my mother-inlaw's family Bible is recorded her grt. grandfather, Samuel Moulder, no middle initial nor middle name. The only Samuel Moulder in US in 1830 is in Lawrence, IN living alone, age 20 to 30. 1836 Warren Co., TN tax list: Dist 1, Henry Moulder; Dist. 2, Henry Moulder, Dist. 3, Samuel Moulder. The 1838 Warren Co., TN tax list: Dist 1, Henry Moulder; Dist. 2, Henry Moulder, Jr.; District 3, Jeremiah Moulder. If I were to make a guess, I would guess that Jeremiah is Samuel Moulder. Samuel Jeremish Moulder perhaps?? I don't know. I do know he and Nancy had a son, Jeremiah Moulder. Ancestry.com does not show Samuel Moulder in the 1840 c. index for Warren Co., TN. However, he is found on pg. 330 - Samuel Moulder - 3 m. under 5; 1 m. 30 under 40; 1 f. 5 under 10; 1 f. 20 under 30. Living 2 doors from Samuel is Aaron Burleson, father 0f Lucinda & Mariah who m. Alexander & Samuel Houston respectively, sons of Samuel & Nancy. I am a member of the Mayflower Society, having proven my linage to Richard Warren and Degory Priest, Mayflower passengers. I am a D.A.R. member, having proven my lineage to Wm. DeCoursey, Rev. soldier. To prove a linage, they only accept primary and possibly secondary sources. A person's personal knowledge is not accepted, it has to be proven. I try to prove everything I compile in a record. Sometimes I get it wrong and when that happens I correct my mistake. A family record is only good if it is correct.

I am the compiler of the book you speak of, completed in 1993. You received a copy from the owner of the Roark group, to whom I gave permission to share copies to group members. There is no middle name for Samuel Moulder in that book. There are no documents or census that show Samuel even had a middle name. 1850 c. Samuel Moulder; 1860 c. Sam Moulder; 1870 c. Saml. Moulder; 1880 c. Samuel Molder. Where the "Tennessee" came from is a family tree chart showing the branches of the Moulder line. On the limb of Henry Moulder, of 1768, is the branch of his son Samuel Moulder and beneath Samuel's name has Carthage, Tenn. A later version of this tree was made and below Samuel's name is Tennessee. Someone, I don't know who, decided tjis was Samuel middle name. This is not correct documentation. I have a copy of "Moulder's Record of the Moulder Family of America" written and published by George Chester Moulder, Lebanon, Missouri, 1933. On page 15 is Samuel's family record and his name is Samuel Moulder. No initial, no middle name. When I was researching the Moulder family, I was in touch with seven other researchers, all related to this family. No where at no time in all the research did records show Samuel having a middle name. I also have copy of the family tree from the book.

I have first hand family documentation that shows his middle name as "Tennessee". I've had this info since the 1970's and I also have a book written by the descendents of the Roark/Moulder families in the 1990's that provides me with this same info. Since I'm a direct descendent, I believe my family documentation. Maybe your documentation does not show a middle name, but mine does. He was my great-great grandfather. My records have nothing to do with what your niece may have done on the Internet.

There is no record that Samuel Moulder's middle name was Tennessee. When My niece recieved a copy of the Roark record I compiled, she put it on the Internet without my permission. Then she added undocumented information and could not tell me the source. Ever since, I see Samuel Tennessee Moulder and that is incorrect. I have copy's of
documents and none show his middle name. So, please no more Tennessee.

hi.. i am in the process doing my luster tree but it is under frank steiner tree... ok according to dayton luster tree where elbert is listed he is the son of jacob and edna luster.. and i went into mount hope cemetery in baker oregon web site he is listed as william elbert luster born in 1903.. i fall in with sarah velma luster side of the family... the reason why i know that this right for dayton we exchange some email on where my grandmother died.... thank you marlene steiner

Hi, hmmmm, I'm thinking there might be two Luster Cemeteries. I'm almost certain there was one in Ohio as well. I will check into that again soon and let you know.

My Luster line is mainly in Ohio, although it started else where. Stephen and William Luster seem to be family handed down names. I have a Joseph Luster that was born in Ohio and moved to W.VA and KY. I believe his mother's name was Hattie. To name a few, there's George, Clarence's, Walter Douglas, Stephen Luster married a Eleanor Blackford, and his son married Henrietta Cope. This is to give just an idea of the lineage. We also have some Indian heritage in our line.

I am a Moulder descendent, chronicling Henry (c1768). I would be very interested in the names and marriages of the children of Amanda and Samuel T. Roark.

I have 9 listed children, but in 1910 Census Amanda claims 12 stating that 9 are living at the time.

I have Julia, William, Nancy, Luster, Lela, Samuel, Harley, Lee, and Vertie.

Services for Mrs Henry (Helen Luster) Barham,
418 E Northrup Dr., will be held at 10 a.m.

She died in Chickasha Wednesday after a week's
illness.

A native of Ardmore, Mrs Barham moved to Midwest
City from Chickasha in 1950. She was a member
of the American Legion Auxiliary and the First
Presbyterian Church, Midwest City.

Survivors include her husband, of the home; two
sisters, Mrs Stella Williams, Oklahoma City;

My Mother Anna Laura Luster is James Frank Lusters daughter. He is my Grandpa. Goldie Luster/Poynter is my Grandmother. I never knew my Grandmother because she died in 1952 and i was born in 1953 but i did see my Grandpa a few times before he died. I went to my Grand Fathers Funeal when i was in my teens. Luther Luster is one of my favorite Uncles and Coleman Taylor. My Mother had the nicest brothers and sisters and i am proud to be kin to them. I'm a direct descendent of Amanda Melvina Moulder and Samuel Thomas Roark. Their daughter, Oma Elizabeth was my grandmother. I have the information you are requesting and also photos of Amanda and Samuel's children except for the three who died as young shildren. One of these children was my grandmother's male twin. By the way, you mentioned a Julia, She was Eulia. I will post all the info later today. Which Moulder do you descend from?

Looking for siblings of and paretns of Nancy Luster.
Nancy was born in 1811 in Kentucky and died in 1899 in Boone or Carroll County, Arkansas.

She married Samuel Tennessee Moulder in 1832 in Grainger, Tennessee. He was born 16 Oct 1801 in Cartage, Warren, Tennessee and died 8 Oct 1888 Denver, Carroll, Arkansas.

Nancy and Samuel moved from Warren, Tennessee to Boone County, Arkansas about 1878.

They had 14 children, all born in Warren County, Tennessee from 1833-1857. They were:

Mary Jane, Elizabeth, William Madison, Jeremiah, Alexander, Jonathan Tipton, Sarah, Samuel Houston, Pleasant Andrew, Margaret A, Amanda Melvina (my g-grandmother), Martha Elizabeth, Ferdinand, Henry and Rollin. I have photos of some of the siblings.

I'd appreciate ANY info on Nancy Luster's siblings or parents. Thank you.

William Luster is my ggrandfather. He was married to Nora McGee. His parents were Stephen Luster and Henrietta Cope.

I would also be interested in having the ability to view your tree.

Although I am a Lester, my early ancestors were often called Luster in census and other areas.

I have an Oliver Clarence Lester b.1873 in Kansas and had a son he named Oliver. Oliver Clarence also had a brother Hiram Orban Lester they called Oliver b.1878 Kansas.

I would like to compare your tree with some of the Luster names I have to see if there are any commonalities.
