it would seem we are distant cousins: my line descends from mary and robert (sloley) thro their daughter grace (b 1727) who married john blackmore in 1746. their son robert (b 1766) married elizabeth fry in 1794 and the line continues thro their daughter (elizabeth b1795 = richard slocombe), betsy (b c1821 = 1843 william knapman), mary ann knapman (b 1845 = 1870 david williams), illtyd williams (b 1879 = 1901 gertrude evans), gwyneth williams (b1906 = 1938 cyril edwards) to me (b 1939). am married, 3 children and 4 grand children. have 2 cousins in same line who are very active in family history - one lives in bristol and the other in monmouth. must compare notes sometime
