Nancy Ann Luttrell - Millard F. Butler (Hickory Co., MO)

I'm researching the Luttrell side and am trying to locate more information on the children of Millard F. and Nancy (Luttrell) Butler who married April 21, 1881 in Hickory County, Missouri. I can't find the children or their mother on the 1910-1930 census records - what happened to them?

1. Henry Wesley Butler, born August 05, 1884 in Hickory County, Missouri.
2. Harvey Butler, born April 1891 in Hickory County, Missouri (May have been fathered by a Stout).

It appears that Millard Butler left Nancy around 1888 and married Jeline Minnie Browning, started a new family and ultimately moved to Oklahoma.
Other Luttrells in Australia

My Luttrells in Australia descend from William Vincent Luttrell of Ballintogher, Laois Co., Ireland. He arrived in Victoria about 1870's or 1880's. He married Martha Jane ROWE and had many LUTTRELL descendants, including my mother. Please contact for further info.

William appears on Simon Luttrell's website (www.simonluttrell.info) as a grandson of Alexander Luttrell of Courtwood. Simon is conducting a successful
Y-DNA project for these Irish Luttrells. Please contact him at simonluttrell@eircom.net for further info.

Regards
Garry Mullins
Cottesloe, Western Australia

Rodham Luttrell and Matilda Horton

Does anyone know what happened to William Luttrell, son of Rodham and Matilda Horton Luttrell? By census records, he was born approx 1828.

Another son of Rodham and Matilda, Pleasant, was said to have changed the spelling of his last name to LUTTRULL after the Civil War. There is a William Luttrull that shows up in Todd Co, KY on the 1850 census, age 24, living with the Crutchfield family. I have documented his descendents, but have no information on his parentage, other than census information that says he was born in KY and both his parents were born in VA.

The William Luttrull from Todd Co, KY was known as William Ray Luttrull, or W.R. Luttrull. The Crutchfield family he was living with in 1850 was the widow of William Crutchfield, Nancy Fox Crutchfield, and her 4 daughters. W.R. married one of the daughters in 1850.

The Fox family was from Madison Co, KY. I have been trying to find out if this William was the son of Rodham and Matilda and how he ended up in Todd County.

If anyone has any ideas on this, please respond.

Thanks,
Dana
Does anyone know anything about Mary Luttrell who was born 1682 and married Robert Sloley in 1709 at Kentisbury? She was the daughter of Andrew Luttrell and Wilmot Popham (according to the Latter-day Saints). Mary and Robert were the grandparents of Elizabeth Sloley who married my ancestor,
John Richards Reed in 1787 at Kentisbury (not far from where I live in the UK).

I cannot find any mention of Andrew Luttrell and Wilmot Popham in the document 'Descendants of Geoffrey De Luterel' which I downloaded from this Site.

Cynthia Snowden (nee Reed)
Looking for info/data on Martha "Patsy" Lutrell & John Duggins who have listings of several children on some genealogical sites. Can any researcher tell me how the names of their children came to be know (will?) as several were married previous to 1850 Census where family members living in a household were named. I have a Nancy Duggins born 26 July 1830 whose parent's were (initials only) J & M Duggins - could this be John & Martha? Could John be related to another John Duggins in Stokes Co, NC who married Jane (?Mary Jane) SISK in 1823? Appreciate any info!

My grandfather ended up in Texas (we believe a family member took him in and later he moved to Texas with this family). He was raised in the the Miller Grove / Lone Oak, Texas area. He died at the age of 81 (my father was 19 at the time). My father is Roy Sherman Luttrell. If anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it.
Leonard Luttrell, WV?

Hello. I am a Luttrell by birth. My family has been researching the Luttrell family and we have found a lot of information. We have found books documenting the Luttrells in Ireland back to 1066, and we have the recent relations, but there was a fire at the courthouse near Mathias, West Virginia and we cannot connect the two sides of the family. My great grandfather, Homer Franklin Luttrell was married to Nancy Belle Jenkins and they moved to Hershey, PA. Homer's parents were George Washington Luttrell and Victoria Catherine Mathias. The furthest back we have traced is Georg's parents: Leonard Luttrell and Elizabeth Barnhart. We'd appreciate any information. Thank you. Diane

Possible spellings of LUTTRUIAL

i've been trying to find the spelling of this name. I posted recently and was responded by someone say I ddn't give enuogh info. After rereading my post, I see their right. Here's the BIG picture:
I have a distant aunt that did a genealogy with no sources. Accordoing tothis paper work that I got third hand, My gg grandfather, Patrick O'rourke from Ireland, married Katherine "Lutturial" on 25 Aug 1871 in Amboy, Lee Co., IL. She was from "Crewe-Cheshire, England". Born 02 Nov 1849. Parents Michael Lutturial and Bridget Fogerty. each obit. from their children ( her daughter Ellen "Nellie" O'Rourke married Frank B. Scott, my direct line great grand father, grandson of James D. Scott of Amboy from Scotland, in 07 Oct. 1896 in Amboy , Lee Co. IL.) have different spellings of the surname. None of which I've found in ANY seach in ANY database ANY where in the world. The closest I've found is Luttrial and Lattrial. I have American records of her and Patrick, but any thing before the marriage is a different spelling every time. I'm hoping some one in Britain can help me, so I can research her and her family in Britian, as every American version doesn't come close to any British version of the name. I'm not looking for specific info. on her( but it would be helpful), Just likeley british versions of the surname in Britian around 1835-1845 frtom which to start from.
Thank You in advance
Marc Scott

A Hugh Luttrell married in Glouceter MA on 17 Nob 1792 a Rebecca Brown and had 3 daughters, FRances, Rebecca and anne anda a son.Thomas Hughprobably drowned say 1800 - Jan 1805 when Rebacca remarried.

Hugh and family were in the 1800 Census

Thre are a number of Hugh Luttrells of Westmoreland County Va in AF, IGI PRF files and in other web site files. witha variety of birth years. Most feel the he is the son of John Luttrell 1712 - ? and Francis Sanford say 1713 -

One web site has him born say 1752 in Westmoreland County VA and dying (or dsappearing) before 1799.

Hugh being a mariner would fit with both Westmoreland and Gloucester.

Does anyone know of a Hugh Luttrell that disapeared from VA prior to 1792 and perhaps born bit later than 1752? The 1752 date would make him 40 when marrying in Gloucester.

bob gillis

Martha Patsy Luttrell married to Eli Osborne

I am looking for some input into the following, please. I have a Martha Patsy Luttrell married to Eli Osborne, living in Adair Co, Pettis Missouri in 1860. I am having a problem with information I have gotten that says her father might be James Churchwell Luttrell married to Mariah Armstrong. Is this in the right line. Or does Martha have a different set of parents? Martha and Eli had the following children, Nancy, Lydia, Eli, Polly, Lewis, Sarah, John, Joseph, Deliah, Kisiah, William. And if James Churchwell was her right father then was his father name James as well married to Elizabeth Witt?
Thank you for any help in this.
Darlene

Luttrell Family heritage missing Eldridge Luttrell (Father) or Joseph Luttrell (son)

Joseph Luttrell is my biological grandfather whom I have never met. To the best of my knowledge he is somewhere in Florida. His fathers is Eldridge Luttrell and he married Ethel Whittaker (who are my great-grandparents). I believe that Eldridge is deceased but that Ethel is still alive in Florida and remarried and has the last name Harrell.

Joseph had several sisters but I only have been able to come up with Betty and Helen. Joseph was born in April of 1933.

If anyone knows this Luttrell line I would be so grateful if you would contact me at jenniferjonesinc@hotmail.com!

1st photo attached is of Joseph Luttrell and Doris Riggs (my grandmother) their wedding photo and the other picture is of Joseph holding his daughter Donna Jo Luttrell, standing next to him is Doris(his wife at the time) who is holding Joe's son Roland Luttrell, Joe's sister Helen's daughter is the little girl (not sure of her name) and Ethel Whittaker-Luttrell (Joe's Mother) is on the far right.

Jennifer

Charles Frederick Luttrell in Oregon

Doing research on my husband's ancestors. Any help would be great. Here is some of what I know.

William B. Anderson b. 1864 in Canada. William states on his census records that his parents were also born in Canada. He came to the U.S. some time around 1885-1887. William married Addie Adeline Tucker about 1890. I believe they met and got married around Beaverton, Oregon.

Children:

1.	Mary V. Anderson - born 14 Apr 1891 in OR, died 2 Dec 1977 in Washington County, OR. She married Robie Francis Shull 4 Nov 1908 in Coos County, OR. I believe they had 2 or 3 boys before Robie died 18 May 1917 in Coos County, OR. Mary then married CHARLES FREDERICK LUTTRELL 16 Sep 1919 in Coos County, OR. I believe they had a daughter and Charles died before the 1930 Census was taken.

2.	Sarah "Tillie" Matilda Anderson - born 12 Jan 1893 in OR, died 2 Jul 1984 in Coos County, OR. She married James William Dye 14 Dec 1919 in Coos County, OR. The 1920 and 1930 census shows them having no children.

3.	Amy Adeline Anderson - born 9 Jul 1894 in Beaverton, OR., died 20 May 1983 in Powers, Coos County, OR. She married Benjamin Harrison Barkdoll 14 Dec 1910 in Coos County, OR. I believe they had 5 children. Oct. 1943 they were living in Prineville, OR and Amy was working at the Prineville General Hospital.

4.	William Isaac Anderson - born 5 Oct 1896 in Beaverton, OR., died 12 Jan 1980 in Coos County, OR. He married Florence Eva Wyant 20 Oct 1916 in Coos County, OR. They had children.

5.	Charles Leslie Anderson - born 25 Jul 1901 in OR., died 5 Dec 1937 in Washington County, OR. He married Elpha Bell Melton 7 Mar 1921 in OR. They had 1 child that I know of, Leslie Ray Anderson.

6.	Harvey Tucker Anderson - born about 1905 in OR., died 24 Jan 1928 in Curry County, OR.

I am still trying to collect more information on this family. If you can make a connection, please contact me. Thank you.
I'm looking for information about my grandmother, Laura Ann Luttrell. She was born in 1879 and married Elzora Washington Deatherage in 1898. She had a brother named George who, according to my research, was born about 1884. Her mother might have been named Martha as I found Martha, aged 60, living with George Luttrell, in the 1920 census of Pontotoc County, Oklahoma, the same place where Laura Ann and Elzora lived at the time. I would appreciate any information anyone might have concerning her.
Thanks

James Luttrell from Casey Co. KY

I am trying to find any info on James Luttrell that married a Maude, I know that 3 of their childrens names were Harold, Larry, and Vivian. James was born on 6/9/1910 and died in Jan. of 1984 in Indiana. Vivian is my husbands mother and we heard thru a very long grapevine that she had moved back to Liberty Ky from Calif. and that she has passed away in the past year and a half. Not having talked with her since the death of James she must have remarried and had a new last name because I can not find any info on her. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Looking for info on great grandfather, E.H. Luttrell

I have hit a brick wall on my Luttrell research. My great grandfather, Elbert Harrison Luttrell was married to Rebecca Luella Powers in September 1894 in Stephens Co., Oklahoma. He was born to Benjamin Franklin Luttrell and Louisa Vance supposedly in Illinois on Jan 24, 1874. Elbert and Rebecca had about 7 children, William H., Lawrence M., Ila Mae, B. Lee, Ora Alice, Earl M. and Elbert O. Rebecca died in 1923 and Elbert remarried and possibly had one more child and 2 stepchildren. Elbert and Rebecca are buried in Rocky, Oklahoma. I have no information on any brothers or sisters to Elbert, and no information on when or where Benjamin was born or died. Louisa Vance was supposedly born in 1849 in Morgan Co., Illinois and died about 1938, do not know where she is buried. If you have any information, please email me.

I am searching for any of the Luttrells who I may be related to. My biological father's name is/was Chuck Luttrell (last known to live in Illinois in the early '60s). I would guesstimate him to be about 70 some years old now. He may possibly have had other children who would might have been born in the 1960's. I believe his father was retired from the railroad in Illinois many years ago. I am making a trip to Chicago next month, and would like the opportunity to meet any Luttrells who could be relatives of mine :)

If you think you can assist me in my search, or would like add'l info, please feel free to contact me at the return email address indicated.

Thank you very much,
Sherri

Luttrells and Burkes of Illinois

5 Oct 2001

I am the great, great grandson of Alexander and Mary Anne Luttrell of Dublin, Ireland. Alexander and his family immigrated to Decatur, Illinois in 1849, forced from their native land by the Great Famine and British oppression. Alexander's youngest daughter, Lizzie, born in Dublin, is my great grandmother. She married William Burke, born in Ireland, in January 1872. I am seeking any and all members of the Luttrell/Burke families: please don't hesistate to contact me if you have any information in that regard.

In particular, I'm trying to locate William Burke's birth county in Ireland. I know that William Burke immigrated to America in 1848, entering the country at New Orleans, and, after moving north and serving in the Union Army during the Civil War, eventually settling in Illinois, where he met and married Lizzie Luttrell.

I have a great deal of information, including documentation, about the Luttrells and Burkes, and will happily share it with anyone who is interested.

Cheers,

Steven Weingartner
La Grange Park, Illinois

W. John Bell m. Susannah Luttrell Amherst VA 1792

I am helping my aunt with her Bell family. John Bell of Amherst County, VA put up a marriage bond (along with bondsman John Fitzpatrick) of fifty pounds on May 21, 1792, with intent to marry Susannah Littrell/Luttrell.
Attached to the bond is a hand-written note from her father Richard Luttrell giving her permission to marry W. John Bell.

On World Connect, I have found a tree in which Susannah and John Bell are listed, but with no children. Other children of her father Richard and mother Sarah Churchill/Churchwell? are followed into further generations. Does anyone know anything about Susannah's family - children? John G. Bell, whom we believe to have been John and Susannah's son, was born ca 1796 and was orphaned fairly young. He was reared by an uncle Drury Bell who was married to Rachel Lee in Amherst in 1789. John G. Bell migrated to California and then to Tennessee where he married Matilda Haley. They moved to Copiah Co. MS by the 1820's. Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Sue Moore
