Peter Olson Luvaas, born 23 Jun 1891, married Florence Grumbo Williams. Florence was full blooded Indian. She married Peter O Luvaas after her 1st marriage ended to Roy C. Williams July of 1926. Florence then married Peter O.Luvaas shortly thereafter. It has been said that one child, Peter Harry Marvin Luvaas was the son of Peter O. Luvaas and Florence Grumbo, Grumbo being her maiden name. Peter Harry Marvin Luvaas was born Feb 6th 1928. Peter H.M.Luvaas later was raised more than likely by his father, for Florence and Peter O. Luvaas separated shortly after Peter H. M. Luvaas was born and later divorced in 1929, where Florence re-married her former husband, Roy Williams on Jan 31st 1929. In 1936, Florence and Roy Williams divorced for the last time and the children were put up for adoption. Peter H.M.Luvaas was adopted or taken in by, we presume, Mr. Luvaas, his father or some kind of kin to Peter O. Luvaas. We are not quite sure about this, but Peter H.M. Luvaas's oldest brother C. Williams states that his brother Pete was taken in by the Luvaas's. Peter H.M. Luvaas died Oct 22 1980 in Willow Creek, California from very tragic auto accident. Pete's oldest sister, Doris, also died in a very tragic auto accident in1960. Peter H.M. Luvaas left behind a wife and two daughters. Alice Luvaas of Willow Creek, his wife, daughters, Rhonda Luvaas and stepdaughter Hazel Frances. Some early reports on Peter H.M. Luvaas states that he may have been married a couple times, have not yet confirm this.

Peter Olson Luvaas served in the army in 1918. Was inducted at Stanley, North Dakota on Feb 12th 1918. Sent to camp Dodge, Iowa, served as an engineer, and as far as I can tell from the records, never saw any war action. Was stationed here in USA for his whole term in Army. He was discharged Dec. 1st 1918, at the rank of private. According to Peter O. Luvaas's draft card, he was of medium build and height and had blue gray eyes and light brown hair. Peter O. died in North Dakota.
