Mrs. Jane Lydie, widow of the late Alexander Lydie, died at her home in Green township, near Taylorsville, last Wednesday, at the age of about 80 years. Her death was due to general debility incident to old age. Her husband died about a year ago. Interment was made at Taylorsville on Friday.

ongoing search for further info on my ancestor John Lydie b. abt. 1776 and wife, Judith (Switzerland). Found in early 1800s in Frederick (Cregerstown) MD. John's son is Joseph or Coleman J. Lidie. Hope to locate John's date of death or location.

Searching for any info my my gr gr grfather, JOHN LYDIE, found at Creagerstown Frederick MD in church records at the baptismal of son, Joseph,(b. 1806) John's Wife is listed as Judit(h). Hoping to link this John to father, Jacob (?) but cannot find verification.Any help is appreciated. John could have been born in closeby PA. or Frederick MD. area.
