I recently purchased a bunch of older photos. One photo shows two children with their dog and is labeled on the reverse "Pamie was 5, Roonie was 6, Snookie is 3 (dog), Virginia & Robert, The Lykens, Decatur, Georgia". I do not know where this photo was taken.

I know alot of our ancestors seem to be on different lines, but the majority are the same, just a lot of misspelled, changed spelling, or written down differently. My name is shawna my fathers name is Gerald Wayne Lykens and im not sure what his D.O.B is but my mother told me he lived in New York (or that was where he come from) My mothers name was Sharon Parker Chase. I dont know if anyone would have any information but maybe someone might I also have a sister and i dont think he knows about her, I was 5 when we left Long Beach California, I was told that he had a sister but im not for sure on that; I was told that he had a record but i cant find anything. I am looking for any information on the family of John McCLURE and Susan LYKENS from Sebastian County Arkansas. Children:James b. abt 1844 Arkansas;John Henry;Rachel;Robert;Elizabeth;Martha;Mary and Thomas. I am wondering if anyone knows where this family came from before Arkansas? And if you know more about the parents of John and Susan,and anything on daughter Martha or other children?
My grtgrandmother was Martha Jane McClure born in 1852 in Arkansas and her father born in Alabama and mother in Tennessee, according the census. She married in 1872? to Richard Lee Smith Johnson Co,Arkansas. They lived in the area all their lives. Both are buried in McKendree Cemetery,Logan Co,Arkansas. I have been unable to find her family.
Any help will be greatly appreciated and I will share anything I have.

If you are still looking for your nieces, you have found them! We have stumbled across your messages and are very excited to finally know something or someone that can lead us to our mother. I was born in Germany in Dec. 1960. I found Kenneth about 5 years ago through a Military Magazine Ad. He said he didn't remember our mother's name and he didn't know where she was located. I, William Thomas Lykens, of Pentwater, MI; wish to make contact with anyone somehow connected to my paternal family. My father was William Colonel Lykens, Mo-June E. Billington Lykens. My paternal Grandfather was Lorenzo D. Likens and Grandmother was Amanda E. Paris Likens. My grandfather died about 1918 near Bitely MI and we have no idea of the disposition of my Grandmother Amanda. They apparently split up about 1912, but we have no other details.
