Hi,

I am looking for more information on James Lyman (born in NY about 1810) and his wife Julia (unknown maiden name - born in NY in 1815). James shows up in the 1840 census in Washington, Dutchess County. James, Julia show up on the 1850 census in Amenia with children Ethelinda, Betsy, Catherine, James Jr (who served in the Civil War), Sarah, Harriet (my great great grandmother), Mary and Charlotte. I don't find any other record of James, but Julia is listed as a widow on the 1880 census, living with my great grandparents Enoch Tompkins and Harriet Lyman Tompkins. Julia died in November 1890 and is buried in St. Peters Cemetery in Lithgow, NY.

Any help appreciated.

John
