Marriage Cert. of Angelina P. Lymar/Lymer(?) and Henry L. Brown 1845

I've an original Marriage Certificate (1845 - New Jersey) for the mentioned subject. Neither are my kin but have researched trying to find if anyone is looking for them. If you are interested in the certificate please let me know.

In the certificate Angelina's last name is spelled Lymar, but I found no Lymar Messageboard. Possibly the person who wrote the certificate misspelled her name? Not sure.

Judy

He left Staffordshire around
1836 and eventually made his home in Illinois, USA.
I imagine this line and yours are distantly related but too far along to offer much help.

Brilliant, Carl - I'm really pleased. I only came across this site today by accident and already I've helped someone which is a nice feeling!! If you were wondering, I'm not actually a Lymer by birth - I was married to one of George Lymer's sons. We're divorced now, but I don't live far from them. If you do need to get in touch with them, then email me privately and I'll pass their address/phone number on to you. Linda :)

Hello, I don't know if this is useful to you: there is a George Lymer (I would say maybe in his eightees). He was born in Liverpool; during WW2 he was in Burma, in military police. He married Elizabeth who lived in India (from English family who's father was in the military there) and after the war, George and Elizabeth moved to and settled in Chingford, Essex (East London borders) and had several children. George's mother, whose name I cannot remember, also moved to Chingford along with, I believe, 2 or 3 of George's siblings, where she died in the late eighties.

I see that Norman Lymer's gr gr grandmother, Elizabeth Jaquiss was my gr gr grandfather's, William's, sister. They came to the USA in the mid 1800s with their brother, George Jaquiss and their families. I have over 250 Jaquiss descendants - mostly Wm's but some of Geo's. I am interested in finding Elizabeth's descendants. Does anyone else have connections with this family?

Deborah

Have gone through all my records and the Email from the person who gave me that information has been erased. I thought it was written down in paper files but it is not there. So I cannot tell y ou who wrote me and gave me that information. I am so sorry...and so angry with myself. Usually I keep better records but changed computers last year and guess I did not keep all my files. I hope whoever it was will read this Board and get in touch with us!

William Lymer , born 1818 in Staffordshire, was my great greatgrandfather. He moved to Illinois with his wife and two infants. One, Sarah, was my great grandmother. She was born in Staffordshire...3/13/1848. After the family came to the US, they had five more children. I have been unable to locate very many descendents. Norman and Ted Lymer are the closest relations I have found. We corresponded for some time and I think it was through them I fleshed out a few details but I still know very little. I did make contact with you over a year ago, also. I still welcome any information I can get! Carolyn

I heard from family in Uk that William's elder brother (Thomas?) was born in 1815 in Fenton . She said the Lymer family all lived in adjacent homes on Church Street there. Said some of them worked for a mining company in Staffordshire. CBD

William Lymer

Sounds as though it might be the same man. I will give Ted Lymer a call. Thank you so much. My mother is still living and will be so happy to finally locate her relatives. She never knew any of the Lymers because her parents had moved to Arkansas when she was just a toddler and there was no opportunity to go back north for visits. Thanks, C. Banks
