I'm still trying to find out who owns the property or who I need to contact concerning visiting the Wilburn cemetery. I'm not sure exactly where it is located, but I was told it still had the house intact and also had a cave. They said it was in a pasture and a fence was just recently put around it. Albert Lee was my grandfathers brother. I'd love to hear from you as I'm also researching the Wilburns. Some of my family lives in Wolfe City and we visit the cemetery often. My grandfather was Delbert Wilburn - who was a twin brother to Winfred "Winnie" Wilburn.

William Henry Lytal, son of John Alexander Lytal and Frances Elizabeth Olive, was born 23 July 1873 in Mississippi. He married Sallie J. Files on Christmas Eve, 1903, in Prentiss County. William died in Hunt County, Texas 3 November 1939.

Samuel Walker Lytal 1928 Texas death certificate

As opposed to the birth year of 1878 on the attached death certificate, Samual Walker Lytal's obituary and his gravestone give his birth year as 1879, and in the 1880 census he's shown as one year old. Born to John Wesley Lytal and Mary J. Duncan, the family reportedly moved from Mississippi to Texas in November 1900, while young Sam was in Fayette County, Alabama, probably in medical school. In December 1900 Sam married Celia Bell Deavours.
The informant is Sam's oldest brother, James J. Lytal.

Mary Susan Lytal, born in Mississippi 23 October 1867 to John Wesley Lytal and Mary Duncan, married James Beverly Elmore 6 December 1883 in Prentiss County. Sometime before 1900 the family moved to Texas, where "Mollie" died 2 September 1952.
The informant for the attached certificate is Mary Susan's eldest son.

James J. Lytal 1937 Texas death certificate

James J. Lytal, son of John Wesley Lytal and Mary J. Duncan, was born in Lee County, Mississippi in 1858. He married 1) Maurey Maxwell and 2) Sarah Annie Williams, having one child by each. He died in Hunt County, Texas 21 April 1937 and was buried in West Memorial Cemetery in Quinlan the next day.

Jesse James Lytal, son of John (not Tom) Alexander Lytal and Frances Elizabeth (Olive) Lytal, was 7 December 1885 in Lee County, Mississippi. He married Neoma Williamson in Lee County in 1906 and they moved to Texas in about 1917. He died 19 April 1950.
His first name is usually seen without the 'i."
The informant, Charles Shields, was the husband of J.J.'s daughter Kathleen.

The file number of his death certificate is 25300.

Amanda Jane Elizabeth Caroline (Lytal) Keasler was the daughter of John Wesley Lytal and Mary Duncan; her husband was John Thomas Keasler, son of William Henry Kesler, Sr. and Lydia Eliza Bennett. The cemetery she was buried in is now known as West Memorial Cemetery.
