Mable

I am looking for any information on a Emily Mable who was born about 1845/6 in St Mary le Strand, London. Her father was William born about 1794 in Sawley on Trent, Derbyshire. Her mother's name was Sarah (maiden name unknown). William had Emily when he was over 50 years old so I think he may have had an earlier marriage and possibly other children. Emily married my GGreat grandfather William Wright in 1875 in London. They had 7 children. Emily moved to British Columbia, Canada in the early 1900's with her son James. She died in 1928 at the age of 82 years.

Possible Photo of William Mable (1794-1880)

Attached is a photo that possibly might be William Mable, who was born in Sawley, Derbyshire in 1794. The photograph was taken at the Baugh and Bensley Studio, Ludgate Hill, London. The studio was in operation at this address from 1859 to 1865. The photograph came to Canada in 1909 when William's daughter Emily Wright (nee Mable-1845-1928) moved to Langley, BC with her son's and daughter. The family brought all sorts of family pocessions etc with them. If anyone has a photo of any other descendents of William perhaps they could compare them looking for family resemblences.

Photograph of Emily Mable

This is a photograph of Emily Mable. Emily was born Sept 1845 in London. All census records say that she was born in St Mary le Strand, London, Middlesex. Emily's parents (again according to the 1861 and 1871 Census) are William Mable (born about 1794 in Derbyshire) and Sarah ( born about 1903 in Walworth, Surrey). I think Sarah's maiden name may have been Dorsett. I am awaiting the arrival of their wedding certificate. I think William may have been married before to a Mary Anne (maiden name unknown).
Emily married William Wright in 1875 and had 7 children. Mabel, William, Annie, Walter, Alfred, Francis, and James. Emily moved to Canada (Vancouver) about 1909 and died in 1928 in Langley. Anyone with any more information please reply.
