If any members have done or are deciding to do genetic DNA, I've started a DNA group for descendants of MacLaines, including all septs of the surname. Y-DNA is passed from father to son and mtDNA is passed from your direct maternal line. If you have done DNA tests from another service, you can add your results to ancestry.
