Need help tracing birth or christening records from Isle of Harris, Scotland. An ancestor (Norman MacLeod) lived in Lecklie on the Isle of Harris (per census 1851) and came to America with his wife (Catherine Morrison) and family of 8 children. They came over on the "Sea Nymph" out of Glasgow (headed for Canada they said) & landed in New York in 1852. They ended up settling in Leicester, New York (per census of 1860) then moved to York (census 1870). Anyone with a relation to this family, please come forward.
