Josserand de Mâcon?

I am very far descended from the Gideon Macon family, but I do have a Macon branch on my family tree and at the end of it is listed the note: Joserand de Macon (1312, saved the life of the King and was knighted). A web search for "Joserand de Macon" turned up the name "Josserand de Mâcon" and a link to a page with a partial transcription to a French book which I think contains a 1344-1364 census.

This information came from a family tree that my grandfather's cousin compiled and shared with him. I don't know where she obtained her information in this section, but it was probably from a family history book.

I am just wondering if anyone has come across this information and if so, do you know the story of Josserand and the King? If it has been disproven, please let me know as well so I can update this tree.

Thank you!
