I am attempting to trace my Native American heritage but everything I find on my ancestors lists them as "white.' My Great-Grandmother Iola Ellen Madison Marly was known to be Native American. Her parents were Joseph Anson Madison and Louisa May Finney Madison. His parents were Amos P and Rebecca Jane Fry Madision. Her parents were Wesley Presley Finney and Mary Maltilda Henshaw. Can anyone direct me to how to find out ancestral racial information?
