I am looking for family history regarding Peter August Madson (1870 - 1942) and Anna Marie (Mary) Hansen (1876-1947) who lived near Litchfield, Minnesota. Their children were Clarence, Harry, Pearl, Alice, Arthur, Walther, Arnold, Walter and Marvin. Peter and Mary would've been my Great-Grandparents and I am the granddaughter of Arthur. Looking for information on a woman that graduated high school in 1944 from Jerseyville. Avis Ileen Madson, in the obituary of her brother (Damond) does not have a surname listed. However, for the obituary of her father John P. Madson, her last name is Green. Any information would be helpful. Thanks!

Hi. I am looking for the parents of Elizabeth C. Madson. She was born in 1897 in Illinois. Her parents were born in Ohio, but I don't know their names. Elizabeth married Walter R. Wiggins in Florida, and had 7 children: Walter R., William, John, Virginia, Martha, Betty, and Armand K. (my grandfather). She died in 1995, and was also known as Lizzie, Liz, or Beth. Does anyone recognize the name Minnie Marjorie Madson. She was born in 1897 and died 1996. She is the daughter of George Madson and Dalingaraw. Their dates of birth are unknown. I am a granddaughter of Minnie and my father's name is Adam Paul Kawagley. Minnie married my grandfather Benjamin Kawagley an Alaskan Eskimo from Akiak, Alaska. Sven Christian Madson was born at Stockholm, Norway, on July 5th, 1847. Was married in 1887. To this union were born one son and five daughters. His wife and all his children but one, Clara, preceded him to the Great Beyond.

He died January 10, 1921, at the age of 73 years, 6 months, and 5 days. The funeral was held at the (Distel?)-Cook Parlors on January 12, Rev. H. J. Hoover officiating. Burial in the Spring Valley cemetery.

I am looking for any information concerning Mathias Madson, born in Norway and Elizabeth Vassar Madson who was French. specifically any descendents and the original Norwegian name from which Madson was derived. Mathias and Elizabeth had 3 sons, Jess, Andrew, and Walter, and possibly a daughter. Walter Joseph Madson had 5 wives: the first was Elizabeth with whom he had 2 children, Elizabeth (Betty) and Jerome, deceased in 1942. His second wife was Martha Richardson with whom he had 2 children, Lorraine and Walter Joseph Madson, Jr., my father who was born in Elk River, MN.

We don't know much about the Madsons in our family. My great-grandfather, Matthew Madson, immigrated to the U.S. from Norway, probably in the late 1800's. He had been a fisherman in Norway; in the U.S., he worked for a railroad at some point. He eventually settled in Iowa. My grandfather, John Madson, spent much of his life in Ames, Iowa.

I have found my gggrandparents settling in Elmdale, MN. Census and church records have the spelling Madson and Madsen. I understand they immigrated from Denmark abt 1873 along with Sophie (Caren's) family the Andrew Johnsons. Rumor has it that they came from a town in Denmark that began with the letter "A" ( needle in a haystack comes to mind.) Any information would be appreciated. I am happy to share my research. Hi MADSON seekers. My grandmother was one of at least 6 Madson children, who, with their father, settled in Western New York. Most lived around Buffalo, but at least one, Peter, had a farm in Cherry Creek, Cattaraugus? County.My grandmother, 2 of her sisters, lived to be at least 100.I'm quite certain that they're ALL gone now, I AM NOT in contact with ANY of their descendants, except my grandmothers descendants.(There were 7 of us grandchildren of her's.)I have almost NO info. regarding the time before my grandmother, but I'll try to give whatever I can.

2 sisters, Catoline Sophia Rosina EBERLEIN or EBERLIN (both were probably born
in the 1820s in Hesse Kassel, Germany) were the daughters of Conrad EBERLEIN and
Anna Maria Unknown (maybe ROMHILD or ROEMHILD). Both of these sisters got
married in the same wedding ceremony 15 August 1852 Portage City, Columbia Co., WI.

Catoline married Friederich MARTIN who was the son of Conrad MARTIN Elisabeth
Unknown, farmer of Columbia Co. WI, b. in Germany

Sophia Rosina married Carl Heinrich WEYHRAUCH (WEIHRAUCH, WEYRAUCH)
who was the son of Johan WEYHRAUCH and Margaritta Unknown, a taylor of
Columbia Co., WI, b. in Germany.

I have no further info on the line of Catoline EBERLEIN Friederich MARTIN. Did
they stay in Columbia Co., WI? Did they have children?

Sophia Rosina EBERLEIN and Carl (Charles) WEYHRAUCH had several children and
those lines lived in Faribault Co., MN - Akron Twp, Wilken, MN - Rothsay, MN -
Barnesville, MN - Harmony, MN - LaCrosse, LaCrosse, WI - Marion, ND - Great Bend,
Richland, ND - Breckenridge, Wilkin, MN - Wahpeton, Richland, ND - Hankinson,
Richland, ND. Other surnames in this line are: MADSON, YOUNG, HENKE, MORE,
GROUWS, WECHEL, STOLTENOW, BERNDT

We are searching our American relatives - the family of Rina Madson, nee Christopher, born 1897 in Denmark.

Rina married Ervin Madson (year unknown), lived in Minneapolis, MN., and they had 2 children, Ervin and Kent. Ervin Jr., later settled in Fostoria, OH., and had 2 children, Penny (b. 1947) and Cynthia (b. 1950).

Rina emigrated from Denmark in 1900 together with her brother Daniel and their parents Niels Christopher(-sen) and Severine Sorensen.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
