Mrs. Pauline J. Mahala, 65, of 138 W. Patterson St., Lansford, was dead on arrival Monday at Coaldale Hospital. She was the wife of Steve J. Mahala. Born in Lansford, she was a daughter of the late Emro and Mary (Pavlacka) Kocian. She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Lansford. Surviving with her husband are a son, Stephen A., at home; three daughters, Florence, wife of Lester Burrell of Shiremanstown, Cumberland County; Rosemary of New York City; and Dorothy, wife of Edwin Fisher of Lansford; and two brothers, Charles of Washington, D.C.; and Edward of Selingsgrove, Snyder County. Services at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in the Thomas Skrabak Funeral Home, 210 E. Bertsch St., Lansford, will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in the church. Calling hours will be 7-9 p.m. Wednesday.
