Mahala seems to be a given name through out several of my fathers surname lines......those from Kentucky/WV/Va and some from the Carolinas...so was looking to see if such a surname existed......and it does......are any related to the Johnsons that married into the Trussell/Vance/Coleman and other related lines.....it seems to be a name given in these lines and usually somewhere back if found back far enough it started with a surname......as our Jilson Trussell does and Coleman Trussell......so wonder if any of the Mahala Johnsons go to the Jacob and Sarah Johnson family that had a daughter Elenor that married a Trussell whose daughter Lucinda married a Robert Vance.....name Mahala is strong in the Vance lines.....email me at clavonec@excite.com Thank you Carol Cantrell
