Dear Kim or Damian:
Hello. My great-grandfather was David Logan Mains of Western Pennsylvania. He was quite a fellow, who at one time had a land grant from the federal government to land in Mckeesport, PA. I am trying to find information on his ancestors, one of whom we
believe was an Iroquois Indian woman, of whom
he was a direct descendant. His daughter, Elizabeth Pearl Mains Baer was my paternal grandmother, and her brother was Walter Frank Mains. I know there are still members of the Mains family in western PA and Ohio. Who knows, perhaps your ancestors migrated from those areas, and we may be related! E-mail me when possible. It's nice to meet folks who have similar interests. Thanks!
