I'm in search of my relatives with the last name Malachi. This is my father's surname. I know very little about my family because my father's father abandoned him as a child, and he was separated from the Malachi family. I am a African-American woman, and I do know that my grandfather was born in South Carolina. I believe his name was Percy. I also know that my last name was chosen by my ancesters who felt the need to change their name once they were freed from slavery.
