I am seeking connections back to Poland or Prussia between the Malakowski (Malakowsky) and Malachowski families. All of the Malakowski's in the United States are descended from a Carl Malakowski, born about 1817 near Breslau (now Wroclaw). Carl's widow came to the United States in 1878 with her children, who were all born in Prussia. I believe the Malachowski name was anglicized to Malakowski when the family came to the United States. I know it's a long shot, but somewhere in the past, I believe these families are connected. I have very complete information of Malakowskis in the United States, but very little of it connecting back to Europe
