RONALD MALACHOWSKI

Ronald Herbert MALACHOWSKI died April 30, 2007, in Provo, Utah. He was born Jan. 5, 1944, in Rockford, Ill. to Isadore and Viola MALACHOWSKI. He was the fifth of six children.
His family moved to California when he was nine months old, and he resided there for most of his life. A graduate of Fontana High School, he apprenticed for four years as a lather. He was drafted into the Army in May 1965 and served a year in Vietnam. He married Diane Pinkston on Nov. 1, 1969. They moved from Fontana to Hesperia in 1972 and he pursued his life’s work in construction as a lather/plasterer and general contractor. It was in Hesperia that they raised their family of nine children. He was a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served in various callings over the years. His greatest joy was his family and the many get-togethers and camp-outs on the Kern River.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; his son Andrew and his brother Johnny.
Ronald is survived by his wife; his children, Michael and his wife Shaunti; Debbie and her husband Justin; Eric and his wife Tracee; Amy and her husband Jeremy; Bonnie and her husband Danny; Daniel and his wife Ana; Amber; Douglas; daughter-in law, Teresa; his siblings, Jim and his wife Carmen; Betty and her husband John; Bill and his wife Camille; Sue and her husband Bob; sistersin-law, Pat and Karen; 20 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, 30 nieces and nephews; father and mother-in-law Francine and Carmen “Pinky”.
A viewing will be held at 9 a.m. Friday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 10862 Maple Ave. in Hesperia with funeral services to follow at 10 a.m.
Interment will be at 11:45 a.m. Monday at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside.
