I have an letter that talks about James and John Malden living in Dillon, Mt. James lived on a large cattle ranch. He had owned a shoe store in the east. He heard about the rich placer mines and sold the shoe store and went to Montana to prospect. There is allot of detail about his mining and his ranch.
