Surnames: MALE, BATTY
I have a small amount of information about the Male family. My gg-grandfather Finlay Wellington Batty, of the village of Lakeport, near Colborne, Haldimand Township, Northumberland County, Canada, married Elizabeth Male. Job Male's family lived next door to the Battys. I haven't done much research on the family, so not sure if he was her brother or father.

I have this on other members of the family:

008672 - 1895 Charles HAYNES, 24, farmer, Cramahe twp, Colborne, s/o John & Maggie HAYNES, married Madie MALE, 19, Colborne, same, d/o Job & Elizabeth MALE, witn. Joseph HAYNES & Ida MALE both of Colborne, March 5 1895 at Colborne

008796-95 (Northumberland) Randle M. MALE, 20, blacksmith, Colbourne, Colbourne , s/o Charles MALE & Lowiza MCDONALD, married Alberta MORSETT, 25, Castleton, illegible Tp.- Northumberland, d/o Maxwell MORSETT & Lowida MARLERS, witn: M.E. MAX(sic) & C. M. MCFARLIN both of Warkworth, 23 October 1895 at Warkworth

010471 97 William Jas. McCRACKEN, 30 widower, farmer, Canada, Cramahe, s/o George McCRACKEN, & Eliza COYLE married Ida MALE, 25, Canada, Colborne, d/o Job. MALE & Elizabeth SCOTT, witn. Harry COLTEN & Jas. McCRACKEN both of Colborne, Nov. 2 1897 at Colborne

I also have basics on Wellington and Elizabeth's marriage in 1951.

Would be interested on anything else you may have, and particularly Elizabeth Male who married Batty. Any idea when your Males arrived in Canada?
