Klan activity in Manayunk?

Surnames: Lindley, Vautrey, Mottram, Mellor
Sorry to broach this distasteful subject, but I was told there was Klan activity in Manayunk and Roxborough around the 1900's. I have not been able to find any information elsewhere on the internet. Has anyone else heard of this and where might I go for additional information.
