George W. Mance, 82,
of Harrison City, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 19, 2008, in his home. He was born Oct. 4, 1925, in Irwin, a son of the late George and Margaret (Lasitis) Mance. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Westinghouse Air Brake, Wilmerding. He loved traveling, the outdoors and gardening. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Harry Mance; and a sister, Dolores Grzybowski. He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Mildred (Kozain) Mance; son, William D. Mance and his wife, Junita, of Round Rock, Texas; daughter, Cheryl M. Moroz and her husband, David, of Greencastle; five grandchildren, Melanie, Melissa, Charles, Erin and Jonathan; six great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Mance and his wife, Patricia, of Enfield, Conn.; and a sister, Shirley Acito and her husband, Gene, of Youngwood. Friends will be received from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday in the JAMES E. LINDSAY FUNERAL HOME INC., 3343 Route 130, Harrison City. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.
