My husband's Mandy family came to the U.S. in 1882. They appeared on the 1881 British Census in Monks Coppenhall, Cheshire, England. John Mandy, b. c1847, and his wife Jane Pedley, b. c1850 immigrated with their son, Edward Charles, b. 1871, to Birmingham, Alabama. Three other children were born in Cheshire, but were not living by 1900. John and Jane were married in 1870 in Congleton. John died before 1900 and Jane in 1914 in Alabama. Anyone connected to us?
