Origin of Mangum

I haven't found any info on Margaret L. except my father told me that she was Irish Catholic. Does anyone know if Mangum is Irish or any other origin? Thanks. P.S. Another bit of trivia about Margaret in case it rings a bell with one of you. She died in November 1956. She was walking to church, mistakenly an hour too early, and was hit by a street car or bus.
