We have made great progress in our DNA analysis, confirming several U.S. Mangum lines, and showing that two lines are unrelated to the main line of Mangums. One of those lines is identical genetically to at least one line of Dukes and the other is unknown. Our English DNA research is progressing slowly and we have eliminated two lines of Manghams, one Mangle & one Maugham as the parent family of our U.S. Mangums. The Manningham is obviously related to the Mangums and we are upgrading his tests to try to pin down the time to the most recent common ancestor with the Mangums. We also now have a Mengham who is undergoing testing. We are actively seeking a Malham, Mingham and Mangall from England. We need many additional participants from the U.S. (Mangum as well as any related spelling) to further establish the relationships of the various lines. Of particular interest at present is a test of someone from the Henry Mangum/Mangrum line from Virginia to Tennessee
