Married

October 14, 1880, at the residence of the bride’s aunt, Mrs. Mary beard, of Hutchinson, by Rev. E. B. Tucker, Mr. A. S. Barbour, of Grant township, and Miss Georgia Manly, of this city. Both bride and groom are among the best esteemed of our young people, and are fit companions one to the other in all those qualities which should render a union happy and prosperous. While the ceremony was not attended by but few they have many friends who congratulate them upon this important event. The very elements appeared to give good omen for it was one of the most beautiful of our splendid Kansas evenings, where the whole face of nature is enlivened by the fresh springing verdure succeeding a recent refreshing shower. We bid them good speed in there journey of life and may the richest blessings, both spiritual and temporal, be vouchsafed to them, and may they know as little as may be of the trials, sorrows and tribulations which beset the human pathway.
