On the 1880 census search on family search use surname Maun. It was mispelled. On ancestry it will show on the 1880 census with either spelling. And use the given name Susan not Susen as you listed. She came from a large family. And her middle name is Mary.

Hey David,

I've got some information on Robert's lineage via his son Joseph. I too, am stuck at finding Roberts parents and up the chain in that direction.

Some of the info I have:
Robert M Mann Birth: May 27 1829 Death: May 2 1909
Sarah Catherine Strange Birth: August 17 1835
Kids:
Samual
Thomas
James
Joseph
Lee
Rufus
Martha
Mary
Almuth

Joseph Oliver Mann is my gggrandfather. I even have some pictures from a Tippah County (MS) history book.

I don't have a John E as a child of Robert, but I do recall some information about the family moving out to Texas for a while. I'll go double check what that old Tippah county book has.

Jason Mann
jmann04@gmail.com

Sarah, Gertrude Clingan McCarty died on March 7, 1941 and is buried in the Redfield Cemetary in Jefferson Co Ark. It lists her birthday also as June 16, 1917. There are a lot of Clingan's buried there. I printed out the whole list of all buried there and will send it to your Mother. There is a neat spiritual story behind how I found this info, call me or email to jdbaxley@hotmail.com and I will share it with you.
Amy,
Thank you for in info. You can reach
me at rtbac550@juno.com, Please put
Henry's name on subject because I get
so much junk that I delete without
much thnking through them. Henry was
my great grandfather's younger brother.
John severe in the Civil War but Henry
was too young and soon after moved to
Kansas. From a cousin in geneology, I
learned Henry married Delila but did not
have much to go on. Please send the obit.
I am inssterested in her and the family.
Do you have much on her first husband?
Thank you.
Richard
