Hi Cathe:
I do not have a lot of info. on Mannix other than:
Anne (a/k/a Anna) Louise. Mannix (dtr. of Mr. Wm. & Sarah Jane (McGivney) Mannix) of Fort Covington Street, Malone married @ St. Joseph's Church, by Rev. O'Rourke in Malone, on 22 Mar 1918 to Chester Murphy (son of M/M Dennis Murphy) of Constable. Dennis was a farmer. Anne was born in Bellmont in 1891.
died 11 Mar 1920 (29 yrs.) complications due to childbirth (think hystorectomy). Had 1 day old son, my father, Gerald Mannix Murphy @ time of death. Anne had a sister, Elizabeth Mannix @ time of wedding. Anne was a teacher in Malone Schools.
As I heard it, my Grandfather, Dennis, would take Gerald, (my dad) to the Mannix' for babysitting during the week, while he tended to the farm on Irish Street in Constable. (hope my source is accurate)
Does this help or is there any name familiar to you?
