Hi Cathie

Thanks for writing. I haven't looked at my message in quite a while but my Patrick's Father (to the best I know) was Maurice Rathgoggin MANNIX married to Margaret (no last name). Patrick was born about 1845 in Ireland so could have been James's younger brother?? I have not been able to find any of Patrick's siblings. It does not seem realistic that an Irish Catholic family would have only had one child. I have been suspecting that Patrick (and maybe a sister) came to the United States and the others went to Australia. Patrick came to the United States in the early 1860's. I would love to correspond more with you and have no problem sending you any info that I have. Through this message board, I found a relative in Seattle, WA. She is the gg granddaughter of my dad's aunt. She is going to Ireland sometime this summer and is going to do some research for us. My daughter lives in Seattle so we get together once in awhile. I am hoping to find out anything that I can about Patrick because my dad is still alive and never knew his grandfather (apparently died in the 1890's??). My dad will be 88 next month. I am his youngest at 55. If you would like you can write to me directly. I have two e-mail addresses and prefer to use the first one but either is OK.

I look foward to hearing from you.
