i heard of some story of a moncion traveling in the dominican republic area with christopher colombus. and that he was his right hand man. i dont have 2 much information onthat but it would be nice to link up our geneology with all from the south. we would have spanish/french mix.. nice...

I am searching for information of Thomas 1793 - 1859 and Isabella 1802 - 1868 Mansion (also spelled Manchion) and their decendants. They were born in Ireland and had four children. They moved to Canada and then into the Dearborn, Michigan area.
1) William born in Canada abt 1839 died during the civil war in Georgia
2) Daniel 1840 - 1899 who was married twice (Alvira Stephenson and Mary Ella of Maine) had four children
3) Amy born 1842 in Canada
4) Anna born 1843 and married Charles Coyne

I don't know anything about Anna Mansion. However, my maiden name is Mansion, and there aren't many of us around in the US. Maybe somehow we are related?

I have recently begun to search for my family ancestors, my father recently informed me that my fathers father was Jose Moncion, and his fathers father was Bienvenido Moncion and his great great gandfather was Benito Moncion whom was a great general in the Dominican republic if any one has any information regarding my family history or any connection please contact me

I have recently begun my search for my ancestors and it seem very odd to me that I might have ancestors in Canada. I have recently questioned my father and he informed me that his father was Jose Moncion, and his fathers father was Bienvenido Moncion and his great great grandfather was Benito moncion who was a great general in the Dominican Republic not sure what the years were however I believe my father was born in the 1930s or 40s. If you or anyone has any information that may give me a good start please, please contact me and help me it is very important to me. thank you Luis Moncion.

I AM LOOKING FOR INFORMATION ON MY HUSBAND'S BIOLOGICAL FATHER. HE WAS STATIONED IN THE PHILLIPINES IN 1974 AND WAS WITH HIS MOTHER ANNA MANSION. THE NAME OF THE TOWN WAS MANILA, PI ON NOVEMBER 4, 1974. NAME OF FATHER IS UNKNOWN. BUT I DO KNOW THAT HE WAS IN THE NAVY AND THEN TRANSFERED TO THE U.S. IN 1974. ANY INFORMATION WOULD BE HELPFUL.

I am starting to work on my great great grandfather's
family tree and I could use a little help. My great great
grandfather was Honore Moncion dit Mansion he married a Pomela Bourbonnais
The only sibling of his that I am aware of is his brother whose
name is possibly Jean Baptiste or Baptiste.
Honore and Pomela had the following children:
My great,grandmother Elodie (Lydia) born in 1884 in St.Marthe,Que.
She married Damien Boivin in Chelmsford Ontario in 1901.
Phelinese born in 1886 who married William Belanger in Sudbury
in 1904.
Dorice;Henry;Manuel;Louisa who married a Mr.Charlebois;Eugene;
and Joseph who married a woman whose first name was
Marion.
I would even love to know the birthdates of these
children or even find the parents of my great,
great grandfather Honore Moncion dit Mansion.
The family originally came from St. Marthe Quebec
however, Honore moved his family to Sudbury around
