Jane Manson married Caleb Merriman Norwood on 7 Dec 1818 in Blount County, Tennessee. Family later lived briefly in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina before moving to Georgia. One son, Thomas Manson Norwood, became a leading Georgia politician. But I can't find much on Jane Manson, who is described only in passing in Thomas Norwood's biographies. Some say she was from Tennessee, born about 1797; some evidence suggests she may hsve been from North Carolina. Some researchers say her actual name was Jeanette. Any info greatly appreciated.
