My Dad's Father was Charles Maple - born around the same time - I don't have the exact date. He married Gladys Babcock and they had 6 children. We don't have much info on Charles since he left the family when my Dad was a young boy. The lived in Waterman, IL

Sorry I don't how you would get a copy since I had sold my copy of the book and cd a long time ago. I am also a Maple descendant. My line went to Coshocton county, Ohio after coming from New Jersey.

I am looking for information on Samantha A. Maple who married Solomen M. Jeffers and later married Francis M Stephens. She lived in Ravenswood, WV (actually Wilding, WV) with Solomen in 1880. They had a daughter, Susan Catharine Jeffries (spelling on birth certificate) who married Benjamin Hupp, son of William Hupp of Clark County, WV and brother of James Hupp. Any information on my Ggg grndmother, Samantha, would be greatly appreciated. George L. Maple wife Margaret, who are his parents?

I am kind of confused on who the parents of George L. Maple are. He was born abt. 1848 Ohio and d. 1908 Ohio, was buried in Woodland Cemetery in Columbiana county, Ohio. Any help is appreciated. I did look at the 1850 census, he was living at that time with Ezekiel Maple.

Mary's parents are Elias Maple b. October 15, 1780 Middlesex county, New Jersey and d. July 18, 1864 in Lebanon, Warren county, Ohio, he married Mary Lake July 27, 1805 in Middlesex county, New Jersey. She was b. February 5, 1783 New Jersey and d. August 15, 1833 in Lebanon, Warren county, Ohio. Hope this helps.

I'm not sure if I can help, but let's give it a try. I'm a great grandson of Jerome Watrous, known among other things for the fact that he served faithfully as a Union soldier from 1861 through 1865. He played an important role at the Battle of Gettysburg and many other engagements.

Jerome was born in New York state, and spent most of his life in Wisconsin.

I am also a descendent of A.B. Maple. My grandmother was Ethel Maple. You had the brothers names correct but there was no sister named Jean. Mae and Dorothy died of typhoid fever. Ethel had 2 daughters Dorothy Mae and Rosemary Jean (Called Jean). I am Jean's daughter and she is now 82 years old and very healthy. She also has first hand knowledge of your Grandmother, my Aunt Blanche. If you would like to learn more let me know. I think that my mom is one of the last of her family and she would love to share her memories.

Jamie, I have never found who Benjamin's parents were or Catherine's last name. If anyone else knows, it would be a breakthrough in my genealogy search.

Mentilla Maple was a brother to my great-great-grandfather, Stephen Maple. They were the sons of Benjamin Maple and Catherine.

Thanks so much for searching for this. I imagine it might be hard to find once getting back to that time period. All the transportation record said he was from Ipswich, so I imagine he must have been born there or close by anyways. I hope you can find something, of all the people that had researched my Benjamin Maple, they can't seem to find anything regarding his parents, or least that is what they said. I know there were Maple's that went to Virginia about the same time period as my Benjamin came to New Jersey, I am just wondering if they might be related somehow.....have done a little research on them, but its like they vanished. Looking forward to hearing back from ya.

Thanks, sorry I haven't gotten back to ya, have been real sick and still can't kick this cold in the butt. Yes I would love to know his ancestry, I do have the stuff from Benjamin's sons and daughter and so forth........I am mostly interested in finding his parents and so forth.

I descend from a Benjamin Maple, when he was transported from Ipswich, Suffolk county, England, his name was Maplin, which that could be an error on the writer at that time....also when Benjamin was married in New Jersey in 1695, his marriage certificate had the name of Maplin on it.....the name is now Maple and sometimes its also spelled Mapel...which my grandfather spelled it Maple and his own brother spelled is Mapel..so this happens even today. I am just wondering on the Maplin name, they must of dropped the "in" and inserted an "e".
