William and Edward MARA were the sons of William MARA and Ellen DONNELL, Powerstown Parish, Ballyvaughn, Clonmel, County Tipperary. They were born ca 1860's or 1870's and emigrated to the United States, before the turn of the century. They, in turn, paid for the passage of their brothers and sisters. There were 10 children. William, Patrick, Edward, Thomas, Mary, Margaret, Hannah, Bridget, Ellen and another Thomas who died. My grandmother, Mary MARA DALTON, settled in Chicago, IL. Some family went to Kansas City.
