Descendants of Oscar & Anna Marble Lennon/Lapeer Michigan
I am the unacknowledged granddaughter of Farrar "Jess" Marble born Sep 1915 Lapeer MI,who married Eleanor Gilbert in May of 1938. They divorced in 1940. My father (now deceased from Lung Cancer) was born Mar 22 1941. His name was Larry Gene Marble. He never knew Jess Marble. He made several attempts during his 64 year lifetime to contact Jess in Rose City Mich. However Jess always hung up on him or denied he was his father. My grandmother swore until her dying day that Jess was my grandfather. I have some photo's of him and the family resemblance is stunning!!!. I would bet my life on it. !!!! My father and brother are the spitting image of this man.
I did contact Jay Marble some years ago after Jess' death and he was kind enough to give me some info. I could tell he was somewhat puzzled by my letter but still defending his brother and not really wanting to get involved.
My father is dead now, Jess Marble is dead, my grandmother is dead, there is no one left to hurt. I am sorry my father went through so much pain and died not being acknowledged by is real dad. From what my grandmother told me about Jess Marble I think my Dad and Jess would have liked each other.
I would like to correspond with anyone from this family or anyone who knew Jess Marble who died in 1989. He was a member of the VFW and worked for the road commission in ogemaw county and a member of the Catholic church. His wife was Harriet Boyer who is now also deceased. I'm not trying to cause trouble, I have done genealogy for 25 years and would just like to exchange family history and feel like the Marble name was something to be proud of instead of "We don't know a single one of them."
Thank You
