JACKSON MARGRUM DEAD -
The friends and acquaintances of Mr. Jackson Margrum were
surprised last Saturday to hear of his death, which
occurred at the Whittaker home, near Gilman. Deceased had
been working at the canning factory up to a few days
previous to his death, but for a day or two had been
feeling poorly. Saturday morning he got up and started
from his bed, falling dead on the floor.
Funeral services were held at Prairie Chapel Sunday
afternoon at 2:30, conducted by Rev. McColley, of the
Christian church, followed by burial in the Onarga cemetery.
Deceased was aged 68 years, 8 months and 18 days. He was
for many years a resident of this locality and enjoyed an
extended acquaintance. He leaves two children, his son
William, living southeast of Onarga, and a daughter.
