My interest is in my ggg grandparents Patrick and Bridget MARKEY and their families. Patrick was born c1815 and Bridget (nee Kennedy) c1840 - England or Ireland.
Patrick died 1867
& Bridget 1859 both of Dysentery in Tasmania, Australia.

They all left for Tasmania (Van Diemens Land) aboard the ship "Panama" in 1853 from port of Liverpool to Hobart Town, Tasmania as "Assisted Immigrants 1841 - 1889".
Their children were Barnard (who later married Charlotte Ransley - parents John Ransley and Mary Salter), Mary and Catherine (who married John Dalton in 1866 - this is my gg grandmother).
Catherine's family later immigrated to New Zealand and I have all that line.
Mary...I cannot find - she may have died soon after they arrived here? They all settled and lived in the New Norfolk/Hamilton/Fenton Forest areas in Tasmania.
