what area are you from, or the grandfather your looking about. I was researching and we had a jessee marlowe in our family too. If nothing comes from this, I will still help you look as I try to finish my search for the Marlowe family.

OBTW, our name back in the 1800's was spelled marlow (No E)
Also, I'm from Rutherfordton, NC , but the Marlowes ( My grandparents were all from Glenwood and Marion, NC

I have been looking for a Peter Marlowe, born in the later 1800 or very early 1900. Would one of your father's uncle have been Peter?

My father is Reuben Marlowe born in 1928 outside of Tabor City in Horry County. He is the youngest of six children. His father was "Maxi" Marlowe, he farmed tobacco as did most of my uncles. We have an original land deed for the land in NC made out to Nathaniel Marlowe dated in the 1700's I think. I will make some calls and verify dates etc. Drop me a note with anything that might ring a bell. We curantly live in Greenville SC.

Hi! My name is Tamara L. Marlar. My grandfather was William Marlar who was married to Evelyn Meeks. His father was Grady L. Marlar who married Nettie L. Grady. Now...they are buried in Fremont Cemetary in Obion County TN. Strangely enough I too am having trouble with secrecy issues. The father of my sons,Ian & Evan Ferguson, is Britt Allen Ferguson. His grandparents are also buried in Fremont. Marshal A. & Ida America Champion Ferguson. I have found records stating that Ida America's mother was full-blooded Cherokee Indian who married a "Dutchman". So if the Dutchman is indeed John Wesley Marlar/Marlow... What do you think?

Hi---The disease Huntington Chorea was dominant in the lineage of the "Fecteau" families who came from Canada & Immigrated to northern, NY in & around Ellenburg and Chursbusco, NY. Two Fecteau sisters married Two Marlow brothers & that is how it was transferred to the Marlow Blood Line. One of the sisters Rose Fecteau married Alexander Marlow---Rose died at age 42 of HD & 6 of her 10 children had the disease, the 6 children in turn passed it on to their children. It is my understanding that it never misses a generation. The Cora Marlow that I am looking for her death & place of burial was the daughter of this Rose Fecteau Marlow. My father-in-law who was a son of Rose Fecteau Marlow---he was not afflicted with the disease however, two of his children had Multiple Sclorosis--a nerve disease of the HD family. I am not sure how far back you can trace your family roots --- it would be interesting to see if their were any relatives of the Fecteau or Marlow families. Whenever someone dies in Malone, NY , I can always trace the families back to mostly the Marlow name however, going back 3 generations is that Fecteau family that almost all of the families had it.

I do Marlow Family History in Malone, NY ---- there were several Evelyn Marlow's in our family but they did not live in Canada nor had a son named John----you need to contact a Mr. Leo Durocher who lives in Quebec---his mother was a Marlow & he has done an extensive Marlow tree & history----he has been very helpful too me as the orgininal great grandparents came from Chateauguay, Quebec---his e-mail is

Searching for the families, death, burial or obituary information of families of Joseph and Cora Marleau Young both from Malone, NY. Joseph Young was born 5-18-1886 in Malone, NY the son of Harry and Barbara Carroll Young. Clara Marleau was born in 1886 in Whippleville, NY the daughter of Peter Alfred and Elizabeth Reilly Marleau/Marlow. Clara and Joseph Young were married April 15, 1907 at St Helen's church in Chasm Falls, NY. It is believed the family moved to Mass or VT---they may have had a son named Francis Young. From your posting for for James Albert Marlowe------our Marlowe families came from Quebec and northern NY---noticed the name Roberts----within our family we had a Viela Evelyn Marleau who married an Oliver Fache-Roberts---they lived in Malone, NY and are buried here. Viela Evelyn Marleau was the daughter of Charles & Philomena Rollin Marleau orginaly from Quebec, immigrated to Malone, NY area in or around 1850"s---they had 12 children. Not sure if this information is helpful to your family----I do have the names and who they married of the children of Viela Evelyn Marleau & Oliver Fache-Roberts. My 2nd Great-Grandmother was Elizabeth Marlow. She married my 2nd Great-Grandfather Henry Smith in Daviess County, KY. Her father was William Berry Marlow and her mother was Elizabeth Mobberly.
