If anyone has information regarding who the French Canadian parents of Peter Marquis (b.March 1853) may be I would be very appreciative. Peter marquis was born in French Canada, (Quebec I presume) and stated in later census records that his parents were also born in French Canada. I have found his US census records in the US after he immigrated along with his wife Agnus (LNU) in 1877, whom I would like to find her maiden name if possible. They had their daughter, Annie P. Marquis (b.1875) in French Canada before immigrating. Perhaps I am better at finding the US records than I am the Canadian records.
