¡Hola! Un placer oír noticia de ti. Yes, there is no doubt about it that we aré related. But to my understaning my great-great-great grandfather was simply named Blanquillo Marrero. He was definitely well known in Villalba because I've met people throughout my life that if they were from there or Juana Diaz,Corozal etc. they somehow knew who he was. There are still many Marreros in that area. However,I never heard any mention from them of the last name Calazan which as I found out is derived from the original "Calasanz" which is of Persian origin (Qalat-Sanz). Many Marreros have distinct light/blue eyes like me. My Mother believes our side is linked through Eulalia and it's said that Blanquillo (who also had blue eyes) had at least 3 or 4 more "wives". My uncle Raul once mentioned el barrio/sector Dajao. WOW! Stay in touch cousin!
