My gg grandfather Canell (Emil) Martell came from this area and I have run into a wall when it comes to the rest of his ancestry. What I have is he was born 1832 in Canada and died October 26, 1912 in La Crosse, Wisconsin. He married Aurelia Richmond in Canada and they emmigrated with their older children at some point about 1866. It appears some of his family either came with them or were here before them. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
