Hi Cynthia, My Uncle Roy is who you are inquiring about. I have always heard about you as a child. I can tell you that your father always thought of you as did Ella. I can send you the info just email me at rfillingim@houston.rr.com. I can also send you pictures. His brother Paul Martine lived here also in Pearland and passed away. Weird story how we found him. My sister was delivering meals on wheels filling in for a friend. He opened the door and her jaw dropped because he looked just like Roy. He then said that was his brother. Small world. Please email.

Jan
Sorry, but I don't think we have a connection. I've only found one MARTINE in this line whose name was listed as MARTONE. I am loaded with John's, Williams, and James. My family landed in Oxford, Mass in 1686 and the First John was born there in 1690. They moved to Westchester County, New York in 1696. My Line doesn't appear to return to Mass. I do have a John who was born abt 1810 and a James who was born abt 1808. I have no 1809.
Ted

martine family mystery

Hello all,
I am searching for clues to my family tree whichis relatively short, my grandfather was Jack W. Martine, my great uncle and aunt were and are Bill Howell and Barbara Jean Howell (now Lester) who had the same father as my grandfather but who's mother was different. Her name was Emilie but she died early on and he and his sister were taken in by their aunt and adopted her married last name. My other great uncle Bob W. Martine has the same mother and father as my grandfather. Their parents were Clara Turnbull and Bill Martine. I knew my great great uncle Ray Turnbull, (Clara's brother) and Ray's wife Katherine. In addition to Clara and Ray there were 6 other brothers and sisters besides them in the Turnbull family. I dont know about my great grandfather's (Bill's) parents except that his father's middle name was Webster. Any help in further relations or name generations would help. THANX

Ted:

I am researching a David Martin who was born in Massachusetts. He is in Lawrence County, Ohio in the 1820's. Some of the census and tax records I looked at showed him spelling his name Martine at times, at other times Martian. Do you have a David Martine in your Massachusetts line that fits this time period. According to the Census records he would have been born in 1809. He is on the 1821 tax list (as Martian) with a William Martian. He had a son named John (my great grandfather) born in 1826.

To Bob McPherson, My Mother was Grace McPherson-Norlander, sister to your Father. She was born Jan. 5, 1902 in Wisconsin. Passed away Oct. 8, 1980. Their parents, Frank and Hattie are buried here in the Bagley cemetery. There were 5 of us kids. Theresa Berentson (Clifford), Patricia Olson (James), Virginia Slowe (Clifford), Salmer Norlander (deceased), and myself. I found that Hatties maiden name was Pulver but haven't discovered any other information on the McPherson clan. I would really appreciate any info. you have. Let me hear from you please.
