Hello cousin! Yes that would be find to send photos to: vintageclothing@yahoo.com. The person I am looking for is a man named John who is my half brother as we have the same father Claude Grahman Massee. John would be between the ages of 54 and 66 I believe. I don't know much more about him than that other than he has a couple of kids. The last time anyone ever heard from him he was living in California. My half brother Steve Massee (we have the same brother) grew up with him but lost track of our brother years ago. I never met John but would like to track him down. Thanks so much for your help. Do you know of Claude's sister Beverly? She is still alive and is 81 years old. Ardyth

Hi Ardyth, Was your father's half-brother, John, your grandfather's child or your grandmother's? We have the same great aunt, Olive C. Massee Currey. That makes us 1st cousins, once removed. I have a few photos of Olive, would you like me to email them to you? Where and when did your grandfather LaVerne die? Do you have a photo of him and do you have a photo of your father? It could be that your father's half-brother was born to your grandmother. She was born in 1889 and had her first child with LaVerbe in 1912, so she could have had John before she married your grandfather.
Thanks,Jacque Turner, Fresno, CA jacqueturner@comcast.net

I found Ardyth's old posting on this Message Board from 2002. Have you found your Massee relatives of Oregon? I am doing some genealogical research on a greataunt Olive C. Massee Currey (b. SEP 1894 Dunn WI, d. 6 NOV 1968 Lane, OR). Her brother, LaVerne F. Massee (b. DEC 1884 Dunn, WI, d. OR)
had 5 children, one of them being Claude Graham Massee (b. 13 MAY 1912 Albany, Linn Co., OR, d. 18 FEB 1978 Garden Grove,Orange Co., CA). Could this be the Claude Massee that you are looking for?

Let me know if I can help. Sincerely, Jacque Turner

Lillian Massee, Washington, DC, circa 1922

I am looking for information about Lillian Massee, survivor of the Knickerbocker Theater Disaster, January 28, 1922, Washington, DC.

According to newspaper accounts and the Memorial Booklet, she sustained minor injuries. She attended the theater with Margaret Dutch, who was killed. She was living at 1740 Euclid Street, NW, Washington, DC.

I am writing a book about the Knickerbocker Theater Disaster and would like to include photos, survivor stories and family accounts of the disaster. If anyone knows of Lillian Massee or her family/descendants, I'd appreciate hearing from you. Many thanks.
