Andrew Masson (b. ?Fetteresso, 1837)
My Great Great Grandpapa was Andrew Masson, b.ca 1837 in Fetteresso (I believe), Scotland. he trained as an engineer in Edinburgh and became a leading manufacture of machinery used in the paper making industry. His works (Masson Scott) were in Battersea (York Place)in the 1880's/1890's
I am very keen to confirm his place of birth and to tie him in with one of the many strands of the Masson family who lived in Fetteresso.
I know he visited the US to meet US paper machine manufacturers in ca 1895 - can anyone throw any further light on this visit?
He married another Masson (Mary) in June 1864 in the Free Kirk in Kintore (Aberdeenshire). Does anyone know of her family??
