      <description>7 December 1936  Tonawanda News&lt;br&gt;Former Resident of North Side is Dead&lt;br&gt;Mrs. Agnes Matala, 57 years old, a former resident of North Tonawanda, wife of the late John Matala, died yesterday at the home of her son, Attorney Joseph S. Matala, 313 Amherst street, Buffalo.  She resided at 164 Wheatfield street until going to Buffalo a few months ago to reside with her son and only survivor.&lt;br&gt;Mr. and Mrs. Matala were the first couple to be married in Our Lady of Czestochowa church on Oliver street.  They were wedded there in 1902.&lt;br&gt;Rites will be held Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock from the Assumption church on Amherst street near Elmwood avenue, Burial will be in Mt. Olivet.&lt;br&gt;</description>
