Surnames: Mathis/Mathews, Mclamb, Hobbs.and Ivy
I am looking for Essex Mathews b. 1829 m. Bessie Ivy b. 1830, Duplin County, NC. Does anyone know who their siblings were?
I have found 4 daughters born to the above parents:
Laura, b. 1875, Rhoda, Matilda aka. Aunt Matt, Betsy Mathews.
My g grandmother, Laura had 2 children: Hattie Mathews b. 1895 m. Abe Bowen with 4 children. Walter Mathis (Sp)b. 1896, Duplin Co, NC, m. Lottie Mclamb b. 1899, Sampson County, NC.
Rhoda and Aunt Matt never married and raised my grandfather Walter and and his sister, Hattie. She died when they were 4 or 5 years old.
