DANDRIDGE, Tenn. — Dennie Ray Matney, age 66, of Dandridge, Tenn., formerly of Tazewell, Virginia, died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012 at Lock Haven, Pa.
Born Feb. 19, 1946 at Roth, Virginia in Buchanan County, he was a son of the late Datsy Lee Matney and Osa Ellen Lester Matney.
He was a heavy equipment operator.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda June Matney of Jefferson City, Tennessee.; one son, Dennie Lee Matney and wife, Rebeca of Quinlan, Texas; one daughter, Kimberly June Woolfe and husband, Robert of Atoka, Okla.; one brother, Mikael Matney of Tazewell, Va.; one sister, Wilma Hale of Tazewell, Va.; three grandchildren, Brock Woolfe, Whitney Matney, and Emalee Matney.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012 at Peery & St. Clair Funeral Home in Tazewell, Va. where funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m. with the Reverend Lawrence Hayes officiating.
Graveside services and interment will be at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Atoka, Oklahoma and handled by Atoka Funeral Home, 1000 W. Liberty Rd., Atoka, OK 74525.
