Our ancestors, Maxwell, we believe moved from County Down, Ireland to America circa 1780-1785

Our Charles Maxwell was born 1777 Ireland died 1857 Ohio. He married a Sarah (unknown surname) who was born 1776 Pennsylvania, America.

Their daughter Frances Maxwell born 1806 died 1880 Ohio married a William Jones born 1807 died 1843.

Charles M. Jones 1833–1878
Matilda A. Jones 1839–1926
